Converts analog VGA and 3.5 mm audio to digital HDMI up to 1920x1080 at 60 Hz, powered by USB for wide compatibility
This ESTONE converter translates an analogue VGA signal and 3.5 mm audio into a digital HDMI stream up to 1920x1080 at 60 Hz. It is intended for users connecting older laptops, desktops or media boxes to modern monitors, televisions or projectors. The unit draws power from a USB cable so it works with a wider range of source devices than unpowered alternatives.
No driver installation is required; simply connect VGA, audio and USB power, then select 720p or 1080p output using the toggle on the housing. The most common issue is forgetting to supply USB power, which results in no signal or an unstable picture. Ensure the USB lead is plugged into a live port or a suitable charger before troubleshooting further.
Verify that your source equipment provides a VGA output and a 3.5 mm audio jack; devices with only HDMI or DisplayPort cannot use this adapter. Confirm the source can output one of the listed input resolutions such as 1024x768, 1280x720 or 1920x1080 at 60 Hz. The converter does not downscale higher resolutions, so the graphics settings must match a supported mode.
