Versatile 8K Bi-Directional Switch

The ESTONE OZ8AB is a compact HDMI switch that handles both 2-in-1-out switching and 1-in-2-out splitting. It supports resolutions up to 7680x4320 at 60Hz and 4K at 120Hz over a 48Gbps bandwidth. The unit requires the supplied DC 5V power adapter and is operated by a manual button on the chassis. It fits desktop setups needing flexible source or display routing.

Home theatre and gaming setups

This switch suits users who alternate between two consoles or streamers on a single screen, or who send one source to two different displays without simultaneous output. It does not suit installations that require automatic source detection or the ability to drive two monitors at the same time. Buyers needing hands-free switching or dual simultaneous displays should look elsewhere.

Manual switching only

The decisive specification is the lack of automatic switching; the source is changed exclusively by pressing the button on the device. For some high-power sources the signal may take three to six seconds to stabilise after a manual change. If your workflow demands instant, unattended switching, this unit will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

Will the DC 5V power adapter need replacing over time?

The unit ships with an external DC 5V power cable; if the adapter fails it can be swapped for any 5V supply with the same connector.

What is the first limit reached when running 8K@60Hz continuously?

The 48Gbps bandwidth ceiling is the hard limit; sustained 8K@60Hz uses the full pipe, so cable quality and the 3-metre length restriction become the practical bottlenecks.

How much heat or fan noise does the aluminium chassis produce during all-day use?

The aluminium case acts as a passive heatsink with no fan, so operation is silent and runs warm but within normal limits for a 48Gbps HDMI 2.1 switch.
