Bi-Directional HDMI Switch 2×1/1×2

This ESTONE OZAB unit works as a 2-in-1-out switch or a 1-in-2-out splitter for HDMI sources and displays. Only one screen can be active at a time. It supports resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz and bandwidth of 18Gbps. The compact aluminium housing measures 5.91 x 2.36 x .79 inches.

Bundled HDMI Cable and Power Lead

A 4K@60Hz HDMI cable and a DC 5V power cable are included in the box. The power cable ensures reliable operation with high-power source devices that cannot supply enough current through the HDMI port alone. The supplied cable saves a separate purchase for the first connection. Manual switching is performed via the button on the unit.

Check Port Layout and Power Needs

Verify that your source devices and display use standard HDMI connectors compatible with the two inputs and one output. Confirm whether your sources require the external 5V supply for stable 4K@60Hz signal transmission. Remember that both outputs cannot show content simultaneously in splitter mode.

Questions about this item

Does the ESTONE OZAB need any firmware updates or capacitor replacements over time?

The unit has no firmware interface and no user-serviceable capacitors; it is a passive HDMI 2.0b switch with an upgraded IC chipset that requires no scheduled maintenance.

What is the first limitation when the switch runs continuously at 4K@60Hz?

The 18 Gbps bandwidth ceiling is reached at 4K@60Hz, so higher refresh rates or deeper colour spaces cannot be passed even if the source supports them.

How warm does the aluminium case get and does it need a fan when powered all day?

The aluminium enclosure dissipates heat passively; the supplied 5 V power cable draws minimal current, so the case stays warm to the touch but does not require active cooling.
