Three-input SPDIF switch for home theatre

This ESTONE OZG2 unit accepts three Toslink sources and routes one to a single SPDIF receiver. It handles LPCM stereo plus Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 surround at sample rates up to 192 kHz. The box ships with a remote, IR extender, USB power cable and manual. Builders wanting a compact digital audio hub will find it fits neatly alongside a TV or AV rack.

Check optical ports and power before ordering

Verify that each source device — console, Blu-ray player, set-top box or streamer — provides a Toslink output and that your soundbar, AV receiver or amplifier has a matching SPDIF input. The switch draws 5 V from the supplied USB cable, so a nearby USB charger or powered port is required. Note that 7.1-channel formats such as Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby TrueHD are not supported over optical fibre.

Fits a stereo or 5.1 system with three sources

Connect up to three optical cables to the inputs and one cable to your audio processor; the switch passes signals up to 40 m with loss below 0.2 dB per metre. Manual buttons and the IR remote both select the active source, and the last-used input is remembered after power loss. The unit does not decode or upmix audio, so it leaves your existing DAC and amplifier to handle conversion.
