What this switch does

The ESTONE OZK3-1 is a 2-by-2 HDMI KVM matrix that lets one keyboard, one mouse and two monitors control two computers or consoles. It accepts HDMI 2.0 and USB-C inputs and provides two HDMI 2.0 outputs plus analogue audio. The aluminium alloy chassis measures 176 by 51 by 21 mm and weighs 9.52 ounces. USB 3.0 hub ports are included for peripheral sharing.

HDMI 2.0 bandwidth limit

HDMI 2.0b caps video at 4K 60 Hz with HDCP 2.3, so 1080p at 144 Hz is supported but higher 4K refresh rates are not. The matrix also passes DVI-to-HDMI and DisplayPort-to-HDMI signals through the same ports. Auto-scan switches sources every 3 seconds if enabled, and front-panel buttons or hot-keys select the active computer instantly.

Dual-monitor requirement

This unit only makes sense when you need two simultaneous displays driven from either of two hosts. Single-monitor users or setups with more than two computers will not benefit from the 2-in-2-out architecture. Supported operating systems include Windows XP, 7, 10, macOS, Linux and Unix.
