ESTONE PQ001 USB4 cable

The ESTONE PQ001 is a USB4 Gen 3x2 cable with USB-C male connectors on both ends. It supports data transfer up to 40Gbps, video output up to 8K at 60Hz and power delivery up to 240W. An integrated E-Marker chip manages power negotiation and device protection. The copper-coloured cable measures 1.5ft in length.

For single-port high-performance setups

This cable suits users who need maximum throughput, 8K display support and 240W charging from a single USB-C connection. It works with Thunderbolt 3 and 4 hosts, recent MacBook and iPad Pro models, and other USB-C devices that support the required modes. Buyers who need longer reach or multiple simultaneous display outputs should consider other options.

Sustained 40Gbps and 240W delivery

Under continuous load the cable maintains 40Gbps bandwidth and delivers up to 240W (48V/5A) without thermal throttling. The E-Marker chip continuously regulates voltage and current to match device requirements. Video signals remain stable at 8K 60Hz or dual 4K 60Hz during extended sessions. Charging tests show 86% MacBook Pro and 89% iPad Pro capacity in 35 minutes.

Questions about this item

Does my laptop need a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode to get 8K@60Hz video from this cable?

Yes. The cable can carry 8K@60Hz or dual 4K@60Hz only when the host USB-C port implements DisplayPort Alt Mode; a plain data-only port will not output video.

Will this cable still charge and transfer data if I plug it into an older Thunderbolt 3 or USB 3.2 port?

Yes. It is backwards compatible with Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.2, USB 3.1 and USB 3.0, so charging up to 240W and data transfer at the port's maximum speed both work.

How can I confirm the cable is delivering the full 40Gbps data rate after I connect my SSD?

Run a large-file transfer; sustained read/write speeds approaching 5000MB/s indicate the link is operating at USB4 Gen 3×2 40Gbps.
