2-Pack Female RJ45 Coupler

This 2-pack provides two shielded female-to-female RJ45 couplers designed to join two Ethernet cables into a longer run. Each unit accepts Cat7, Cat6, Cat5e and Cat5 patch cords and is built from fire-retardant plastic with nickel-plated contacts. The couplers meet Category 6 performance per TIA/EIA 568-C.2 and are RoHS compliant.

Extends existing cables; not a cable replacement

Installers who need to bridge two short patch leads in home, office or rack environments will find these couplers convenient. They are not suited for buyers who require a single continuous cable without an intermediate joint, nor for applications demanding shielded plug housings beyond the nickel-plated contacts described.

Supports up to 10 Gigabit speeds

The connector is rated for data rates up to 10 gigabit when used with Cat7 or Cat6 cabling, making it suitable for high-throughput links. Performance at that rate depends on the cables used and total link quality.

What speed limit appears first when running Cat6 cable through this coupler at length?

The coupler meets Category 6 performance per TIA/EIA 568-C.2, supporting up to 10 gigabite on Cat6 or Cat7 cables.

Does the coupler generate heat or draw power during continuous all-day use?

As a passive inline connector with no active electronics, it produces no heat and consumes no power.
