Two-computer DisplayPort KVM with four USB 3.0 ports

The ESTONE SW204N-DP lets two computers or laptops share one DisplayPort monitor and up to four USB 3.0 peripherals such as a keyboard, mouse, printer or external drive. It supports video up to 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz with a maximum resolution of 7680 x 4320. Switching is instant via front-panel buttons or the included wired desktop controller. The unit is plug-and-play on Windows, macOS, Linux and Unix.

Replaces manual cable swapping for dual-system desks

Instead of unplugging DisplayPort and USB cables each time you change machines, this switch routes both video and peripheral signals through a single box. The jump is worth it when you regularly move between two workstations and need 8K 60 Hz or 4K 120 Hz output without latency. Auto-scan can cycle inputs every 3 seconds for monitoring. It does not suit setups that require more than two computer connections or more than one display output.

Check your ports and power before ordering

Each computer must provide a DisplayPort 1.4, 1.2 or 1.1 output and a USB 3.0 type-A port for the upstream link. The monitor needs a DisplayPort input that matches your target resolution. A 5 V power adapter is included and required for stable operation. Verify cable reach: the box measures 5.43 x 5.35 x 1.46 inches and weighs 9.52 ounces. No drivers are needed, but confirm your OS appears in the supported list.

Questions about this item

What size desk space does the 5.43 x 5.35 x 1.46 inch unit need?

The switch occupies a 5.43 by 5.35 inch footprint and stands 1.46 inches tall, so allow at least that much flat area plus cable clearance behind it.

How do I connect the two computers and the single monitor using the supplied cables?

Plug each computer into one of the two DisplayPort inputs and a USB 3.0 cable, connect the monitor to the DisplayPort output, attach the power adapter, then use the front buttons or wired remote to switch.

When should I replace the external power adapter?

Replace the adapter if the switch loses video or USB connectivity intermittently, the LED indicators fail to light, or the adapter itself becomes excessively hot during normal operation.
