A DisplayPort KVM switch lets two computers share one monitor and four USB 3.0 peripherals at up to 8K 60 Hz
The Jansicotek SW204N-DP lets two computers or laptops share one DisplayPort monitor and four USB 3.0 peripherals. It supports video up to 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz or 175 Hz. Switching is instant via front buttons or the wired desktop controller. The unit is plug-and-play across Windows, macOS, Linux and Unix.
The switch draws power from the included adapter and adds no active cooling, so it runs silently on the desk. USB 3.0 ports deliver up to 5 Gbps data rates while remaining backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices. Video bandwidth reaches 48 Gbps through the DP 1.4 interface, which is also compatible with DP 1.2 and 1.1 sources.
The package supplies two USB 3.0 cables, a power adapter, the external controller and a user manual. Everything needed for a two-system workflow is in the box, so no extra cables are required for typical keyboard, mouse, printer or storage connections. Buyers who need to share a single monitor across three or more computers will need a different solution.

Connect each computer to a DisplayPort input and a USB 3.0 cable, then attach the monitor to the single DisplayPort output and up to four USB 3.0 peripherals to the hub ports. The step often missed is plugging in the included power adapter before switching.
The push-button panel and external wired controller are the only moving parts; under heavy daily switching they wear out before the internal DisplayPort 1.4 circuitry or the USB 3.0 hub.
The DisplayPort 1.4 link caps video bandwidth at 48 Gbps, so 8K at 60 Hz is the maximum sustained resolution; higher refresh rates such as 4K at 144 Hz or 175 Hz require chroma subsampling or DSC.
