Extension cable for DisplayPort 1.4

The ESTONE TJ-A028 is a male-to-female DisplayPort 1.4 extension cable measuring 6.6 ft. It extends an existing DisplayPort link so a GPU or laptop can reach a monitor or TV positioned further away. The cable is built with solid copper conductors and triple shielding to preserve signal integrity at high bandwidth. It targets gamers and media users who need extra reach without downgrading resolution or refresh rate.

Build integration and port protection

The cable plugs into a source DisplayPort 1.4 output and accepts a standard DisplayPort 1.4 male connector at the far end. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion while the braided aluminium foil and PVC jacket protect the conductors from interference and physical wear. Using the extender reduces insertions on the graphics card or monitor port, limiting mechanical wear on those fixed connectors. No external power or driver installation is required; the link trains automatically.

Capacity and headroom at 32.4 Gbps

Rated for HBR3 bandwidth of 32.4 Gbps, the cable supports 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 144 Hz and 2K at 240 Hz, with additional modes at 5K 60 Hz, 4K 120 Hz and 1080p 240 Hz. It carries HDR, HDCP 2.2, DSC 1.2, MST and FEC for error-free transmission. The link remains backward compatible with DisplayPort 1.3, 1.2 and earlier versions. Builders needing longer runs than 6.6 ft or bandwidth above HBR3 will need an active solution.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum bandwidth the TJ-A028 cable can sustain over its full 6.6 ft length?

The cable is rated for HBR3 bandwidth of 32.4 Gbps, supporting 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz across the full 6.6 ft distance.

Does the cable generate any heat or noise during continuous all-day operation?

As a passive copper cable with triple shielding, it produces no noise and negligible heat under normal sustained use.

What connectors must the source and display already have for this male-to-female extension to work?

Both the graphics card and the monitor need a standard DisplayPort 1.4 (or compatible 1.3/1.2/1.1) port to accept the male and female ends.
