What this cable connects

The ESTONE TJ-A033 is a male-to-male DisplayPort 1.4 cable measuring 10 ft. It links a DisplayPort 1.4 source such as a graphics card or laptop to a DisplayPort 1.4 monitor, projector or HDTV. The cable is rated for HBR3 bandwidth of 32.40 Gbit/s and carries Display Stream Compression 1.2, Forward Error Correction and up to 32 audio channels. It also supports HDCP 2.2, HDCP 1.4, HDR, stereoscopic 3D video and Multi-Stream Transport.

Resolutions and refresh rates it handles

At the top end the cable delivers 8K (7680 x 4320) at 60 Hz and 5K (5120 x 2880) at 60 Hz. For high-refresh gaming it supports 4K (4096 x 2160) at 144 Hz, 2K (2560 x 1440) at 240 Hz and 1080p (1920 x 1080) at 240 Hz. Lower refresh options include 4K at 120 Hz, 2K at 165 Hz and 1080p at 165 Hz. The 32.40 Gbit/s ceiling means uncompressed 8K at rates above 60 Hz or 4K beyond 144 Hz are not possible.

Build quality and signal integrity

Triple shielding and solid copper conductors protect the signal over the full 10 ft run. Gold-plated connectors resist corrosion and maintain low contact resistance. The nylon braid adds mechanical durability without stiffening the cable excessively. Because the cable is passive, it draws no external power and adds no audible noise to the system.

Questions about this item

Will the 10 ft cable run at 4K 144 Hz from my DisplayPort 1.2 graphics card to a new 4K 144 Hz monitor?

The cable is rated for HBR3 and 32.4 Gbps, so it can carry 4K at 144 Hz, but the link will run at the highest rate both devices share; a DisplayPort 1.2 source limits the connection to its own maximum bandwidth.

How can I confirm the cable is delivering 8K 60 Hz with HDR after I plug it in?

Open the monitor on-screen display or the GPU control panel and verify the active resolution shows 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz with HDR enabled; the link will only reach that mode if both source and display support it.

Does the package include only the cable or are adapters also supplied?

The box contains the single DisplayPort 1.4 male-to-male cable; no adapters or extra accessories are included.
