Dual-Port MST Hub for Creative Workflows

The ESTONE TJ-A038 splits a single DisplayPort 1.4 source into simultaneous HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 outputs using Multi-Stream Transport. It drives two monitors at once in extended or mirrored modes, making it practical for digital-signage installs, conference rooms or multi-monitor creative setups that need 8K at 30 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz from one GPU port.

Windows MST Systems Only

The hub requires a DisplayPort 1.4 output with MST support on the host graphics card, which limits practical use to Windows PCs; macOS does not support MST extended desktops. Buyers wanting plug-and-play dual monitors on a Mac, or anyone needing more than two displays, should look at a different solution. An external 5 V USB power connection is also mandatory for operation.

Bundled Power Cable Enables Stable Operation

A dedicated DC 5 V USB power lead is included, removing the need to source a separate adapter and ensuring the hub maintains full 32.4 Gbps bandwidth for high-refresh 1440p or 4K signals. The printed instructions walk through the SST mirror and MST extended mode selection so installers can configure the two-output topology without trial and error.

Questions about this item

Does my computer need a DisplayPort 1.4 output with MST support to use this switch?

Yes, the hub requires a DP 1.4 source that implements Multi-Stream Transport; without MST the second display cannot be driven in extended mode.

Can I keep an older 1080p 60 Hz monitor on one output while running a 4K 120 Hz display on the other?

Each port negotiates its own timing, so a 1080p 60 Hz screen and a 4K 120 Hz screen can operate simultaneously in MST extended mode.

How do I confirm both monitors are running in extended desktop mode after connecting them?

Open Windows display settings — two distinct numbered displays should appear side by side, each showing its native resolution and refresh rate.
