Bi-Directional HDMI 2.1 Switcher

The ESTONE TJ-A041 is a compact HDMI 2.1 switcher that works in two modes. It connects two source devices to one display or one source to two displays, supporting 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz. It suits gamers and home-theatre users who need to share a single 8K screen between a console and a PC or send one signal to a TV and a projector.

Plug-and-Play With Power Option

The unit draws power from the HDMI ports for typical setups. A micro-USB DC 5 V power line is included for longer cable runs or devices that cannot supply enough current. Cables on either side should not exceed three metres. Dual indicator lights show the active path; only one output displays at a time in splitter mode.

Bandwidth and Cable Limits

The HDMI 2.1 interface provides 48 Gbps bandwidth, enabling 8K 60 Hz and 4K 120 Hz with HDR formats such as Dolby Vision and HDR10. The PI3HDX1221 chip handles 12 000 operations per second and performs overheat checks 14 times per second. Cable length beyond three metres per leg may degrade the 48 Gbps signal.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the ESTONE TJ-A041 is passing 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz without signal loss?

Check the display's on-screen information for 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz or 33.17 million pixels at 120 Hz, ensure HDR10 or Dolby Vision indicators are lit, and verify stable playback with no flicker or snowflake artefacts.

What ships with the ESTONE TJ-A041 and what must I provide?

The box contains the bi-directional switcher, a DC 5 V power cable and instructions; you must supply all HDMI 2.1 cables, keeping each run at 3 metres or less.

Should I use the 2-in-1-out or 1-in-2-out mode for my PS5 and Xbox Series X sharing one 8K monitor?

Use 2-in-1-out mode: connect both consoles to the two HDMI 2.1 inputs and the monitor to the single output, then press the selector to switch sources.
