Suited for laptops and PCs with a native Mini

This adapter works when the host port carries a DisplayPort signal directly. It does not support Thunderbolt ports, so systems that only provide video over Thunderbolt cannot use it. Buyers who need a Thunderbolt-compatible link or a longer cable run should look at something else.
