Measures low DC resistance up to 200 micro-ohms with 5 A test current and stores 200 readings
The ETCR 3640 is a handheld milliohmmeter designed for electricians and maintenance engineers who need to verify low-value resistances in the field. It uses a microprocessor-controlled four-wire Kelvin method to eliminate lead resistance from the reading. The instrument stores up to 200 measurement groups in its internal memory for later review. A large LCD presents results clearly during on-site work.
This tool suits professionals testing cable conductor resistance, switch and relay contact resistance, or winding resistance in motors and transformers. It also serves grounding-grid continuity checks in power and lightning-protection installations. Buyers who need to measure insulation resistance, high-value resistance, or AC impedance should select a different instrument. The tester is built for DC low-resistance applications only.
The decisive specification is the resistance measurement span of 1 µΩ to 200 µΩ with a maximum test current of 5 A. This range determines whether the meter can resolve the very low resistances found in busbars, heavy cables, and winding coils. If the expected values fall outside this window, another tester will be required. The Kelvin four-wire technique ensures the stated accuracy is achieved.

The ETCR 3640 includes the main unit and test leads in a single pack so no extra leads are required for standard measurements.
Use the 1 µΩ to 200 µΩ range with the built-in 5 A test current for accurate low-resistance readings on windings and coils.
The 5 A current drives the Kelvin four-wire method, eliminating lead resistance and giving repeatable milliohm results on switches, connectors and ground-grid joints.
