Network Module for Catalyst 3850

The EVESKY C3850-NM-4-1G is a 4-port Gigabit Ethernet network module designed for Catalyst 3850 series switches. It adds four 1GE ports to compatible chassis, expanding wired connectivity for enterprise access-layer deployments. The module is field-replaceable and supports hot-swappable installation without powering down the switch.

Capacity and Headroom

Four 1GE ports provide line-rate copper connectivity for endpoints such as IP phones, wireless access points, and workstations. The module handles standard Gigabit traffic loads but does not offer multi-gigabit or fibre uplinks. Throughput is limited to the 1GE per port ceiling, so bandwidth-intensive uplinks require a different module.

Build Integration

The module slides into the network module slot on Catalyst 3850-12, 3850-24, 3850-12X48, or 3850-48 switches. No additional cabling or external power is needed beyond the switch chassis. It frees up fixed ports on the base switch for other connections while keeping the stackable architecture intact.
