Dual-monitor KVM switch lets you control two computers with one keyboard, mouse and four USB 3.0 ports at up to 8K 30 Hz or 4K 144 Hz
This DisplayPort KVM switch connects two computers to two monitors, letting you share one keyboard, one mouse and four USB 3.0 peripherals. It supports extended or copy display modes and ships with the four required cables and a wired remote for desk-level switching. The unit draws power from the attached USB cables.
It suits users who run two DisplayPort-equipped PCs or laptops and need 5 Gbps USB 3.0 sharing for drives, printers or scanners. It is not suited for users whose monitors or laptops only offer HDMI, or for setups that require more than two video sources.
The switch passes 8K at 30 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz through its DisplayPort 1.4 links, while also accepting mixed input resolutions such as 4K at 60 Hz, 1440p at 60 Hz or lower. Final output depends on the graphics cards, monitors and cables used.

Connect each computer to the two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs and the four USB 3.0 cables, then attach both monitors to the outputs; the step often missed is plugging all four USB cables so the switch receives enough power for 5 Gbps data and stable switching.
No scheduled maintenance is required; if a DisplayPort or USB 3.0 cable wears out, replace it with a certified DP 1.4 or USB 3.0 cable to keep 8K@30 Hz or 4K@144 Hz performance.
The 8K@30 Hz or 4K@144 Hz ceiling of the DisplayPort 1.4 link is the first bottleneck; final resolution also depends on the graphics cards, monitors and cables used.
