A KVM switch lets two computers share four USB 3.0 peripherals and one HDMI monitor at up to 4K 60 Hz
This KVM switch lets two computers share one HDMI monitor and up to four USB peripherals such as a keyboard, mouse, printer or external drive. It supports video resolutions up to 4K at 60Hz, along with 4K at 30Hz and 2560 by 1440 at 120Hz. The USB 3.0 hub delivers data transfer rates up to 5Gbps, ten times faster than USB 2.0 at 480 Mbps. Compatibility covers Windows, Mac OS, Linux and Chrome OS without driver installation.
The unit removes the need to swap HDMI and USB cables when moving between two workstations, cutting desk clutter and wear on ports. The jump is worthwhile for users who regularly operate a desktop and a laptop, or two desktops, and want a single monitor and peripheral set for both. It does not suit setups requiring more than two connected computers or additional video outputs beyond the single HDMI port.
Switching is handled by a physical button on the device; red and blue LEDs indicate which computer is active. The package includes two USB cables and two HDMI cables for immediate connection. An optional DC 5V USB-C power input is available to stabilise current when high-draw USB devices such as hard drives or SSDs are attached, preventing dropouts during use.

Each computer needs one HDMI output and one USB 3.0 port; the box includes two HDMI cables and two USB cables for those connections.
Connect both HDMI and both USB cables to the PCs, then press the front button to select PC1 (red LED) or PC2 (blue LED); skipping either USB link leaves keyboard and mouse dead on that machine.
Add the 5 V USB-C supply when attaching power-hungry devices such as external HDDs, SSDs or digital camcorders so the switch can deliver steady current to all four USB 3.0 ports.
