A USB 3.0 KVM switch shares four USB devices between two computers with one-button switching and includes cables
The ZIYUETEK KVM-01 lets one user control two computers with a single set of USB peripherals. Four front ports accept keyboards, mice, printers, storage drives, game controllers or wireless adapters. Two supplied cables connect the switch to each host system. A push button on the unit toggles the active computer in one to two seconds, and an LED indicates the selected channel.
The switch draws power from the host USB ports and requires no external adapter. It operates from minus ten to sixty degrees Celsius without active cooling, so it adds no fan noise to the workspace. All four ports and both upstream connections run at USB 3.0 speeds with a theoretical maximum of five gigabits per second, keeping file transfers quick during normal use.
Buyers who currently keep separate keyboards, mice and drives for each computer can consolidate to one set and reclaim desk space. The jump is worth it when daily workflow involves frequent switching between two Windows, Mac or Linux machines. It does not suit users who need video switching, smartphone or tablet support, or more than four shared USB devices.

Connect up to four USB devices to the front ports, then plug the two supplied cables into the rear ports on each computer; the step often missed is selecting the correct channel with the push button because the default output is channel 2.
No scheduled maintenance is required; the unit has no user-replaceable parts, so if the push button or indicator light fails the whole switch would need replacing.
The 5 Gbps USB 3.0 bandwidth ceiling shared across the four ports will saturate before the 60 °C operating temperature limit is reached.
