2-Port HDMI KVM with USB 3.0

This Explus-C HDMI KVM switch connects two computers to one monitor, keyboard and mouse. Three USB 3.0 ports provide up to 5 Gbps bandwidth for shared printers, drives and other peripherals. The unit supports Windows, Linux, Mac and game consoles such as PS4. EDID adaptive technology helps maintain stable display handshakes.

Ideal for dual-PC desks.

The switch suits home-office users, developers and streamers who need to toggle between two machines on a single 4K screen. It does not support multiple simultaneous displays, so buyers who want extended desktops across two or more monitors should look elsewhere. No audio extraction or dedicated microphone switching is provided.

4K@60 Hz HDMI with HDCP 2.2

The single specification that decides compatibility is the HDMI video capability: 4K resolution at 60 Hz with HDCP 2.2 compliance, plus backward support for 4K@30 Hz, 2K, 3D and 1080p. If the monitor or source requires higher refresh rates or a different video interface, this KVM will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

Does the Explus-C KVM switch include the cables needed to connect two computers, or must I buy them separately?

The package provides two USB cables and a wired controller; no HDMI cables are included, so you will need to supply your own HDMI leads for each computer and the monitor.

Should I choose a different model if I need to switch more than two computers or run dual monitors?

This unit is built for exactly two computers and a single monitor; if you need additional ports or a second display output you will need a different KVM switch.

What does the 4K@60Hz rating mean for my actual display when the switch is in use?

The switch passes a native 4K signal at 60 Hz with HDCP 2.2 support, so protected 4K content plays without downscaling, and lower resolutions such as 4K@30Hz, 2K, 3D and 1080P are also supported.
