Universal Car CD Player

This external USB CD player connects to a vehicle’s factory Android navigation screen or radio through a single cable. It is designed for drivers who want to play music CDs or audiobooks through the car’s original sound system without replacing the head unit. Compatibility extends to Windows desktops, laptops and Android smart TVs that support USB flash-drive playback.

Plug-and-Play Mounting

Installation requires only one cable plugged into a USB port; the unit can be mounted vertically or horizontally under a seat or dash but must not be installed upside down or past the zero-degree vertical angle. Each disc needs 10 to 20 seconds to finish indexing before playback starts, and skipping this step is the most common cause of set-up issues.

WMA and WAV Only

The drive reads WMA and WAV formats but will not play MP3 files, so audiobooks or music libraries encoded in MP3 are not supported. Buyers whose collections are in MP3 should look elsewhere, as this limitation is built into the player’s firmware.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the CD player is indexing a disc correctly after plugging it into my Android 4.4+ car navigation USB port?

Wait 10 to 20 seconds for the disc to finish indexing; the car's factory stereo will then play the CD's audio through the vehicle's sound system.

What comes in the box and what must I provide separately to use this CD player in my car?

The package includes the CD player unit with its integrated USB cable; you must supply a vehicle with an Android 4.4 or newer multimedia navigation head unit that has a USB port and can read USB flash drives.

Which audio formats will this CD player actually play through my car stereo?

It supports WMA and WAV format audio CDs; MP3 format discs will not play, so choose standard music CDs or audiobooks encoded in WMA or WAV.
