Outdoor PoE access point

The Extreme PD-9001GO-ENT is an outdoor wireless access point powered by 802.3at PoE. It delivers data and power over a single Ethernet cable for simpler deployment. The unit targets installers extending networks to remote or exposed locations. It suits surveillance cameras and outdoor Wi-Fi endpoints.

Sustained-load behaviour

The device maintains reliable connectivity and high-speed data transfer during continuous operation. Its PoE implementation supports steady power delivery without separate supplies. The rugged construction ensures consistent performance in demanding environments. No performance degradation is described for extended duty cycles.

Thermals noise and power

The weatherproof enclosure protects internal components from harsh outdoor conditions. Passive cooling is implied by the sealed outdoor design with no moving parts mentioned. Power is sourced entirely through the 802.3at PoE connection. Acoustic output is negligible in normal use.

Questions about this item

How much power does the PD-9001GO-ENT draw when running continuously outdoors?

The device is powered through an 802.3at PoE connection, so it draws whatever power the upstream switch negotiates up to the standard limit.

What cabling and switch port are required to operate this access point?

A single Ethernet cable from an 802.3at compliant PoE switch or injector provides both data and power; no separate power supply is needed.

Will the PD-9001GO-ENT work with my existing 802.3af PoE switches?

The unit requires 802.3at (PoE+) power levels; an 802.3af-only switch will not supply enough power for reliable operation.
