4-Channel HD-SDI DVR Kit

This Eyemax package combines a 4-channel HD-SDI digital video recorder with four white indoor dome cameras. Each camera delivers a 2-megapixel image through a fixed 3.6mm lens. The recorder accepts 720p, 1080p and 1080i HD-SDI signals and stores footage on a user-supplied hard drive. HDMI and VGA ports provide local display options.

Installers needing coaxial HD-SDI infrastructure

The system suits installers maintaining or extending existing HD-SDI cabling who want 1080p recording and remote viewing via the CatchEye smartphone app. It is not for buyers who require IP camera compatibility, Power over Ethernet cabling, or onboard storage included in the box. Users needing more than four channels or varifocal lenses should look elsewhere.

1080p HD-SDI recording resolution

The recorder captures each of the four channels at up to 1080p over HD-SDI, which determines the maximum detail available for live view and playback. Gigabit Ethernet enables network access for multi-user monitoring and mobile alerts. Relay alarm output and sensor input allow basic integration with external security devices.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the 4CH 1080P HD-SDI DVR is recording correctly after installation?

Check live view on the HDMI or VGA monitor for all four channels at 1080p, then review playback to confirm continuous footage from each 3.6mm dome camera.

What components are included and what must I purchase separately for the BL-NM04D1-BWHT package?

The box contains one 4CH HD-SDI DVR without a hard drive and four white indoor dome cameras with 3.6mm lenses; you must buy a compatible surveillance HDD separately.

Which storage capacity should I choose for the missing HDD in this 4-channel 1080p system?

Select a 3.5-inch surveillance-rated drive — typically 2 TB to 8 TB — based on how many days of 1080p recording you need across all four channels.
