Eyemax Magic IL-5 Series 8ch PoE NVR 4 TB

Eyemax Magic IL-5 8ch PoE NVR

The Eyemax Magic IL-5 Series is an 8-channel network video recorder with built-in PoE inputs and a pre-installed 4 TB hard drive. It provides a full graphical interface with alpha blending for local monitoring and configuration. The recorder supports Eyemax and Magic cameras through plug-and-play connectivity and includes the Magic Viewer app for remote access. Designed as a standalone security appliance, it removes the requirement for a separate router connection.

Suits installers wanting a single-box PoE recorder

This unit suits installers and small-business owners who want an all-in-one recorder that powers cameras directly over Ethernet and offers a ready-to-use 4 TB drive. It covers sites needing motion detection across 576 configurable areas, PTZ control via RS-485, POS integration and multi-user authority with 22 language options. Buyers who need more than eight PoE ports, higher storage capacity out of the box, or camera brands outside the Eyemax and Magic ecosystems should look at alternative recorder platforms.

8-channel PoE input capacity decides fit

The defining specification is the eight PoE inputs, which set the maximum number of directly powered cameras the recorder can handle without extra switches or injectors. If the site requires nine or more PoE cameras, this recorder cannot accommodate them. The 4 TB drive size is fixed in this configuration, and the RS-485 port provides the sole PTZ control path. Match the channel count and camera compatibility to the project before purchasing.
