Compact outdoor dome camera

The Eyemax TA-602 is a small-form IP network camera built for outdoor surveillance. Its 3.3-inch diameter housing carries an IP68 rating for water and vandal resistance. The unit delivers 620 TV lines of colour resolution from a 1/3-inch Sony Super HAD II CCD sensor. It operates on 12 V DC power only.

Twist-lock mounting and 3-axis adjustment

Installation uses a twist-and-lock mechanism that avoids drilling through the camera body; a drill-hole guide is supplied. The 3-axis construction lets the installer level the image whether the dome is fitted to a wall or a ceiling. A 3.6 mm fixed lens is pre-installed, and the camera supports both surface and flush mounting options.

Upgrade from larger analog domes

The compact IP68 housing replaces bulkier outdoor domes that require separate weather shields and more mounting hardware. The 620 TVL sensor improves detail over standard-definition models, especially at 0.1 lux colour and 0.01 lux monochrome sensitivity. The jump is worthwhile when a discreet, single-cable IP dome is needed for exposed locations.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum resolution the TA-602 can capture under sustained recording?

The camera delivers 620 TV lines of horizontal resolution in colour mode, which is the fixed output of the 1/3" Sony Super HAD II CCD sensor.

How much heat and noise does the IP68 dome generate when running continuously?

The sealed IP68 housing has no moving parts or fan, so the unit runs silently and produces only minimal warmth from the 12 V DC circuitry.

Which power supply must I already have to operate this camera?

A regulated 12 V DC source is required; the camera does not support PoE or AC input.
