MultiPlay Voice Recorder for Custom Cards

The EZSound MultiPlay module adds re-recordable audio to greeting cards, scrapbooks, photo albums and personalised gifts. It stores multiple MP3 files that play sequentially each time the item is opened. The unit is CE and FCC certified and RoHS compliant.

2 MB Internal Capacity Decides Total Recording Time

The module holds 2 MB, which equals about 120 seconds of combined MP3 audio. You can record one long message or many short clips, but the total duration cannot exceed this limit. Files must be in MP3 format; other formats will not play.

USB Cable and Peel-and-Stick Backing Simplify Setup

A 10 inch USB cable is included for drag-and-drop file transfer and recharging the 200 mAh lithium-polymer battery. The self-adhesive backing lets you mount the assembled chip, battery and speaker without tools. An on/off switch and volume control are built in.

Questions about this item

How long does the 120-second capacity actually last when the module is inside a greeting card?

The 2 MB memory holds roughly 120 seconds of MP3 audio in total; each time the card is opened the next file plays, so a single 15-second clip yields about 700 plays before the battery needs recharging.

What does the USB connection let me do, and are there any file-format limits?

The USB port appears as a mass-storage device for drag-and-drop uploading; only MP3 files are played back, so other formats must be converted first.

Will the 5-by-3.25-inch board fit inside a standard folded card, and how is it mounted?

The module measures 5 L x 3.25 W x 0.25 H inches and has a peel-and-stick self-adhesive backing for direct attachment to the card interior.
