Facmogu YU8 Dual-Connection Microphone

The Facmogu YU8 is a dynamic microphone built for streamers, podcasters and gamers who want studio-quality voice capture. It delivers 24-bit/48kHz audio with a 50Hz-12kHz response and a cardioid pattern that rejects off-axis noise. A built-in echo volume control lets you add reverb for immersive streams or keep recordings dry. The mic includes a desktop stand and offers both USB and XLR outputs.

Check Compatibility Before Ordering

The USB connection uses a Micro USB plug and works plug-and-play with PC, PS4 and PS5. For XLR use you must supply your own cable and a mixer or interface that provides 48V phantom power. The on-board gain knob, mute button and headphone jack function in both modes. No software drivers are required for the USB path.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

As a passive dynamic capsule the YU8 generates no heat and draws negligible power over USB. The only audible noise is the touch-mute LED indicator which glows red when active. Self-rotating RGB lighting runs from the USB bus without increasing system fan speeds. XLR operation adds no electrical load to the host computer.

Questions about this item

Does the Facmogu YU8 package include an XLR cable or must I buy one separately?

The box contains the YU8 dynamic microphone, a desktop stand and a Micro USB cable; the manufacturer notes that an XLR cable is not included, so you will need to purchase one if you plan to connect via XLR.

Should I choose the USB or XLR connection for my PS5 setup?

Use the Micro USB plug-and-play connection for instant compatibility with PS5 or PS4; the XLR output is intended for 48V mixers or audio interfaces and requires a separate XLR cable.

What does the 24-bit 48kHz specification mean for my stream audio quality?

It captures high-fidelity audio at 24-bit depth and a 48kHz sample rate with a 50Hz–12kHz frequency response, delivering studio-grade vocal clarity for streaming and recording.
