  • 12 V 0.23 A draws little power
  • 55 mm blade diameter moves more air
  • 4-pin connector enables PWM speed control

42 mm 12 V VGA replacement fan

This 42 mm square fan runs on 12 V and draws 0.23 A, making it a direct drop-in for compatible graphics-card coolers. The 55 mm blade diameter and four-pin connector match the original MGT6012LR specification. It is built for builders who need a like-for-like cooler refresh without rewiring.

Upgrade from a worn or noisy stock fan

Replace the unit when bearings rattle, airflow drops or the original fails completely. The swap is worth it if the card still meets your performance targets but the cooler has become unreliable. Buyers who need higher static pressure or a different mounting pattern should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What mounting hole spacing does the 42 mm square frame use?

The fan frame measures 42 mm on each side with a 4-pin pitch, so the mounting holes are spaced to match that 42 mm square pattern.

Which connector orientation should I check before plugging the 4-pin lead into the graphics card header?

Align the 4-pin plug so the keyed tab matches the header notch; forcing it in reversed can bend pins and prevent the fan from spinning.
