Original heatsink and fan assembly for Dell Alienware 51M Area-51M with RTX 2060, 2070 or 2080 graphics

  • Direct GPU cooling for Alienware 51M RTX 2080
  • Supports 2060 and 2070 upgrade paths
  • New original heatsink fan assembly
  • Part number 0FY4CJ FY4CJ ensures fit

Compatible Dell Alienware 51M GPU cooler

This new original heatsink and fan assembly fits Dell Alienware 51M and Area-51M laptops equipped with RTX 2060 or RTX 2070 graphics. It serves as a direct replacement or as the upgrade part required when moving to the higher-power RTX 2080 module. The part number 0FY4CJ matches the factory specification for these systems.

Sustained-load thermal behaviour

Under continuous load the assembly transfers heat from the RTX 2080 die through its factory-designed vapor-chamber base into stacked fins, while the dual fans maintain airflow across the fin array. Thermal throttling is delayed because the larger heatsink mass and higher fan curves approved for the 2080 configuration dissipate more watts than the original 2060 or 2070 cooler. Builders staying with a 2060 or 2070 gain no extra headroom from this unit.

Questions about this item

How loud does the heatsink fan assembly run when the RTX 2080 is under sustained load?

The fan speed ramps with GPU temperature; under full RTX 2080 load it spins faster but stays within Dell's acoustic limits for the 51M chassis.

What existing hardware must my Alienware 51M already have for this cooling assembly to fit?

Your laptop must use the 0FY4CJ or FY4CJ heatsink mounting pattern found on the RTX 2060, RTX 2070 and RTX 2080 configurations.
