What this drive does and who needs it

This external optical drive reads and writes CDs and DVDs, plays Blu-ray and HD DVD discs, and adds a four-port USB 3.0 hub plus SD and TF card readers. It suits laptop and desktop users who want a single compact device for disc access, media playback, data backup and extra connectivity.

The spec that decides fit

The drive connects through a single USB 3.0 port and draws all its power from that connection, so no external adapter is required. If your system only offers USB 2.0 ports the device will still function but at reduced transfer rates.

How it fits into a setup

Plug it into any USB 3.0 port on a Windows 10 or 11, Windows 8 or 7, Linux or Mac OS machine and it works without driver installation. The integrated hub frees up ports for peripherals while the card slots accept SD or TF media one at a time, making it a self-contained expansion for thin-and-light laptops.
