Portable USB 3.0 Blu-ray player

This FANTEC drive reads Blu-ray, HD DVD, DVD and CD media through a single USB 3.0 connection. No external power supply or driver installation is required, so it works immediately on Windows 7 through 11 and macOS laptops or desktops. An inductive open button ejects the tray with a light touch. The slim, shock-resistant chassis and embedded cable make it simple to carry in a laptop bag.

Sustained read and write behaviour

USB 3.0 delivers up to 5 Gbit/s bandwidth, keeping data flowing steadily during long ripping or burning sessions. Maximum speeds are 24x for CD reading, 8x for DVD reading and 8x for CD writing, so large archives transfer without stalling. Low-impedance circuitry and anti-interference design reduce errors and acoustic noise over extended use. Shockproof construction helps maintain tracking when the unit is moved.

Disc-format compatibility

The drive handles Blu-ray, HD DVD, DVD±R/RW, DVD-RAM and CD-R/RW media, covering legacy and current optical formats. It does not write to Blu-ray or HD DVD discs, so buyers who need to author high-definition media will need a separate recorder. Compatibility with USB Type-C ports is provided through the same USB 3.0 interface.
