Double-Sided Film Tape 2 in x 50 ft

FastCap Speedtape is a transparent bonding tape with a polyester film backing and acrylic adhesive. It comes in a 2-inch width and 50-foot length at 5.5 mil thickness. The roll is suited for general mounting, splicing and holding tasks in workshops, offices or light assembly areas.

Users needing a wide, thin transparent bond

This tape suits installers who want a clean, double-sided film for temporary or permanent bonds on smooth surfaces. It is not intended for buyers who require a foam carrier for gap filling, a high-temperature rating beyond 75 Degrees F, or a heavy-duty cloth-backed tape for rough substrates.

Operating temperature range 65 to 75 Degrees F

The acrylic adhesive is rated for continuous performance between 65 and 75 Degrees F. Applications that regularly exceed this window should use a tape specified for higher or lower service temperatures.

Questions about this item

How does the 5.5 mil thickness behave once the tape is applied in a real job?

At 5.5 mil the polyester film stays thin enough to conform to slight surface texture while still providing a continuous acrylic bond line across the full 2 inch width.

What does the 65 to 75 degrees F temperature range cap in practice?

The acrylic adhesive is rated for continuous service only between 65 and 75 degrees F; outside that window bond strength can drop or the film may creep.

What does the 2 inch by 50 foot roll need to fit or mount on a standard dispenser?

The roll measures 2 inches wide with a 50 foot length on a standard 3 inch core, so it fits any desktop dispenser that accepts 2 inch tape on a 3 inch core.
