Clinically validated dual-mode thermometer
This FDK thermometer delivers hospital-grade accuracy of ±0.4°F or ±0.2°C for both ear and forehead measurements. It is designed for adults, children and infants, providing a professional home health solution in a lightweight 0.12kg body. The device includes batteries and a protective cap so it is ready for immediate use.
Check mode selection before measuring
Accuracy depends on matching the mode to the body part: ear mode for ear readings and forehead mode for forehead readings. To switch, ensure the device is off, then long-press the power button for five seconds until the icon appears, release, short-press to select the correct mode, and wait three seconds for it to auto-save. The probe must be fully inserted and held steady during the one-second measurement.
Silent mode for undisturbed monitoring
A dedicated silent mode disables voice prompts, allowing temperature checks without waking a sleeping child. The non-intrusive forehead scan and ergonomic design make frequent monitoring comfortable for both the caregiver and the patient. The non-glass construction adds safety for everyday family use.

Questions about this item
Does the box include everything needed to start taking temperatures or are batteries sold separately?
The package includes the thermometer, a protective cap and batteries so it is ready to use immediately.
When should I use the ear mode versus the forehead mode for the most reliable result?
Match the mode to the body site — ear mode for in-ear readings and forehead mode for temporal scans — because the sensor calibrates differently for each.
What does the ±0.4 °F accuracy claim mean when I am checking a fever at home?
It means the reading will fall within four-tenths of a degree Fahrenheit of the true core temperature when the correct mode is selected and the probe is positioned properly.
