Fervit 140W DC-to-USB-C Adapter
The Fervit adapter converts a DC 4.5x3.0mm barrel input into a USB-C output rated up to 140W. It targets owners of 135W or 140W laptop chargers who want to power USB-C laptops, tablets or phones from that existing brick. The built-in PD trigger negotiates 20V at 7A automatically. Buyers whose charger only delivers 65W or less will not reach the adapter’s maximum output.
90-Degree Angled USB-C Plug
The right-angle Type-C connector fits tight clearances around crowded ports or against flat surfaces. A 4.5mm by 3.0mm DC jack accepts the barrel tip from compatible 18V-20V power supplies. The compact moulded body adds minimal bulk to the cable run. Users with straight-port requirements or non-standard barrel sizes cannot use this adapter.
Passive Conversion With PD Negotiation
The unit contains no active cooling; heat comes only from the PD trigger and contact resistance during high-current 20V 7A operation. Silent running is inherent because no fan or moving parts are present. Power draw matches the negotiated PD profile up to 140W from the source charger. Efficiency varies with the attached device’s charge controller and cable quality.

Questions about this item
What USB-C Power Delivery profiles does the 140W adapter actually deliver?
The adapter negotiates 5V/2A, 9V/3A, 15V/2A, 20V/3.25A, 20V/5A and 20V/7A, topping out at 140W over the USB-C port.
What clearance does the 90° angled plug need behind the device?
The right-angle USB-C head sits flush against the chassis, so only the cable bend radius behind the port matters — no extra depth for a straight plug.
How do you make the adapter handshake at 20V/7A instead of a lower profile?
Connect a 135W or 140W DC 18-20V source to the 4.5x3.0mm jack first; the built-in PD trigger then requests the 20V/7A contract from the attached device.
