Fervit DSUB RS232 15pin Male Nut to Female Screw 90 Degree Adapter

SKU CH-MNJB-SG1BV

A 90-degree angled adapter converts a 15-pin male RS232 port to a female screw connection for tight spaces

  • Fits tight spaces with 90 degree angled design
  • Connects 15 pin RS232 male nut to female screw
  • D shaped shield blocks mechanical and EMI interference
  • Keyed asymmetric shape prevents incorrect orientation
  • Not compatible with HDB15 VGA ports

15-pin RS232 adapter for legacy serial links

This Fervit DSUB adapter converts a 15-pin male nut connector to a female screw receptacle, letting you extend serial cables in telecommunications, industrial, medical or military equipment. It is built for RS-232 signalling and does not support HDB 15-pin VGA video ports.

90-degree angled body for tight back-panel

The right-angled shell routes the cable parallel to the chassis, so you can mate the connector even when adjacent ports or brackets leave no straight-line room. The D-shaped metal shield blocks mechanical stress and electromagnetic interference during normal operation.

Gender-change and nut-to-screw hardware simplify

The male nut side locks onto existing panel-mount screws while the female screw side accepts standard cable plugs, removing the need for extra brackets or soldering. No software or drivers are required because the adapter is purely passive.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 90 degree angled adapter when the female port is in a tight spot?

Align the 15pin male nut side with the female port and push straight in; the 90 degree angle lets the cable run parallel to the panel so it clears nearby obstacles.

What maintenance or replacement will the DB15 adapter need later?

No scheduled maintenance is required; if the D-shaped shield or screw threads become damaged from repeated mating cycles, replace the adapter.

What limit appears first when the RS232 link runs continuously at high data rates?

The 15pin DB connector's current-carrying capacity and signal integrity over the RS232 interface set the practical ceiling for sustained use.
