Right-angled adapter connects USB 3.0 Type-A hosts to USB 3.1 Type-C devices at 10 Gbps for data and charging in tight spaces
This 90-degree adapter connects a USB 3.0 Type-A host port to a USB 3.1 Type-C device. It is designed for users who need to link external drives, tablets or phones to a standard USB-A socket where straight connectors would foul neighbouring ports or tight clearances.
The plug-and-play adapter requires no drivers; simply insert the Type-A end into the host and the reversible Type-C end into the device. The fixed host-to-device direction means it will not work if you try to connect a USB-C host to a USB-A peripheral, and it cannot carry video, audio or alternate-mode signals.
The link is rated at 10 Gbps, but actual throughput is constrained by the USB 3.0 host controller and cable quality. The adapter passes only USB 3.0 data and power, so any USB 3.1 Gen 2 or alternate-mode features on the Type-C device will remain inactive.

Use a USB 3.1 device and check the transfer rate in your operating system; the adapter supports up to 10Gbps when linked between a USB 3.0 Type A host and a USB 3.1 Type C device.
The package includes the 90 degree adapter only; no additional cables are required if your host has a USB 3.0 Type A port and your device has a USB 3.1 Type C port.
The 90 degree angled design fits where space around the port is limited, while a straight adapter would need more clearance.
