Professional-grade electrical insulation tape

FindTape EL7566-AW is a premium all-weather PVC tape designed for professional electricians and maintenance teams. It insulates wires and conductive materials in demanding installation, repair, and manufacturing environments. The synthetic rubber adhesive delivers strong, flexible bonds across a wide temperature range.

8 mil thickness with 1.5 inch core

The tape measures 48mm wide by 66ft long and features an 8 mil thick PVC backing that resists moisture, corrosion, alkalis, and acids. Rolls are cut to standard metric sizes, approximately 5% narrower than nominal width. A UL/CSA listed 1.5 inch diameter core fits standard dispensers and storage spindles.

Flame retardant and cold resistant

The all-weather construction remains flexible in low temperatures and is rated flame retardant for safety compliance. Pressure-sensitive adhesive activates with hand pressure, requiring no heat tools for application. Black colour provides standard coding for phase identification and general-purpose insulation tasks.

Questions about this item

What is the actual width of the 48 mm roll after industry metric cutting?

The roll measures approximately 48 mm wide; metric-cut sizing means it runs about 5 % narrower than the nominal 2-inch call-out.

What core diameter does the roll require for mounting on a dispenser?

It is wound on a 1.5-inch diameter core, so any holder must accept that spindle size.

How do you apply the tape to get a proper seal, and what step is often skipped?

Stretch the PVC backing as you wrap so the synthetic rubber adhesive activates; the common mistake is laying it on without tension, which leaves gaps.
