FireFold CAT5E-1KCMXF-BLK 24AWG 350MHz 1000ft network ethernet cable

Outdoor Direct Burial Cable

This FireFold Cat5E cable is built for outdoor installations that require direct burial or above-ground exposure. The gel-flooded core and UV-rated black jacket protect the solid copper conductors from moisture and sunlight. It suits installers running long links between buildings or to remote cameras.

Verify Route And Connector Plan

Confirm the 1000-foot length matches the trench or aerial path you have measured, allowing slack for terminations at both ends. Ensure your crimp tools and connectors are rated for solid 24 AWG conductors and that the CMXF rating satisfies local code for the burial depth you intend. The cable is not recommended for cell-tower applications.

Gel Core And UV Jacket Simplify Outdoor Work

The flooded gel core blocks water ingress so the cable can be buried without additional conduit in many jurisdictions. The UV-rated PVC jacket resists degradation from direct sunlight, reducing long-term signal loss on exposed spans. Both features eliminate the need for separate weatherproofing steps during installation.
