Cat5e 3 ft patch cable

This Cat5e patch cable measures three feet and uses 24 AWG stranded copper conductors with a CM-type PVC jacket. It is built for short indoor runs between a router, switch or wall jack and a desktop, laptop or network appliance. The black jacket keeps the link tidy in home or office environments.

350 MHz bandwidth and gold contacts

The cable is rated for 350 MHz and meets or exceeds the TIA/EIA-568 standard, with 50 micron gold-plated RJ-45 connectors on both ends. Four unshielded twisted pairs and molded strain-relief boots protect signal integrity during frequent connects and disconnects.

Suited for Gigabit desktop links.

Buyers who need a short, reliable Gigabit connection for a workstation or access point will find this length convenient. Installers who require longer distances, outdoor-rated jackets or higher power-over-Ethernet budgets should select a different cable type.

Questions about this item

What does the 350 MHz rating mean for real-world throughput?

The 350 MHz bandwidth exceeds the Category 5e minimum, giving extra headroom for Gigabit Ethernet signals on this short 3 ft run.

Which connector standard do the RJ45 plugs follow and what speed does it limit?

The gold-plated RJ45 connectors follow the TIA/EIA-568 pin-out, supporting up to Gigabit Ethernet over the four twisted pairs.

What physical space and mounting features does the 3 ft cable need?

The molded strain-relief boots and CM-rated PVC jacket let the 3 ft cord bend tightly behind a patch panel or desk without kinking.
