This FireFold Cat5e patch cable is a 10 ft black Ethernet cord built with 24 AWG stranded pure copper conductors. It carries 50 micron gold-plated RJ45 connectors on each end and a CM-type PVC jacket. The cable is UL/cUL listed and meets or exceeds the TIA/EIA-568 standard.

Suited for Cat5e gigabit links; not for 10GBASE-T

The cable supports typical Cat5e gigabit Ethernet connections in home offices, small business networks or patch-panel runs. It will not satisfy 10GBASE-T installations that require Cat6a or higher cabling, nor will it serve applications demanding shielded construction.
