100 ft Cat6 patch cable

This Cat6 Ethernet patch cable runs 100 ft and uses 4 UTP 24 AWG stranded pure copper conductors. It is built for standard LAN wiring between computers, switches, routers, modems and patch panels in home or office networks.

Upgrade from Cat5e or damaged runs

The 550 MHz rating exceeds the TIA/EIA-568 standard, so it replaces older Cat5e links or worn cables when higher bandwidth headroom is needed for gigabit and multi-gigabit traffic.

Snagless boot simplifies routing

Molded half-moon boots with strain relief stop the connector tabs from catching during pulls through conduit or cable trays. Gold-plated RJ45 contacts resist corrosion, and the CM-rated PVC jacket meets UL/cUL and RoHS requirements.

Questions about this item

What size RJ45 port does the 50-micron gold-plated connector on this 100 ft cable fit?

The short-body RJ45 plugs fit standard 8P8C Ethernet ports on routers, switches, patch panels and network adapters.

How do you seat the moulded snagless boot correctly so the latch clicks?

Push the connector straight in until the half-moon boot flange meets the port face and you hear the latch click; angled insertion bends the latch tab.

When should the CM-rated PVC jacket on this 24 AWG stranded copper cable be replaced?

Replace the cable if the jacket shows cracks, kinks or crushed sections, or if the boot latch no longer holds securely in the port.
