Compact flat-plug extension

Heavy-duty 14 AWG construction

Thicker 14 AWG conductors carry more current than 16 AWG types, reducing heat build-up during continuous loads. The black PVC jacket stays flexible in indoor temperatures and the three-prong grounded plug fits standard household receptacles.

Replaces bulky standard cords

Ideal when a regular right-angle or straight plug blocks the second outlet or cannot fit behind a desk, nightstand or appliance. Not suited for runs longer than 2 feet or for outdoor installations that require a weather-rated jacket.

Questions about this item

What does the NEMA 5-15 rating mean for the 15 amp 125 volt limit?

The NEMA 5-15 plug and receptacle are rated for 15 amps at 125 volts, capping the cord at 1875 watts for standard North American household outlets.

What clearance does the flat plug need behind furniture?

The low-profile flat plug sits flush against the wall, allowing the cord to fit behind desks, shelves or appliances where a standard bulky plug would not clear.

How do I seat the flat plug so it does not work loose?

Push the flat plug straight in until the blades are fully engaged; angling it during insertion can leave the connection partial and cause overheating.
