SKU CH-ZM1B-6P5DY

Two air-cushioned aluminium light stands extend to 13 feet and support up to 17 lbs each for stable studio lighting

  • Stable aluminium construction supports heavy lighting gear securely
  • Holds 16.1 to 17 lbs for strobes and continuous lights
  • Extends to 13 feet for versatile shooting angles
  • Air-cushioned columns protect fingers and equipment during adjustment
  • Reversible 1/4" and 3/8" screw fits most lights and modifiers

Professional Lighting Support

This two-pack of air-cushioned light stands is built for photographers and videographers who need reliable, heavy-duty support for studio or location work. Each stand extends to 13 feet and accepts a wide range of lights, modifiers and brackets via a reversible 1/4" or 3/8" screw on a 5/8" stud. The perpendicular mounting option adds flexibility for vertical subjects. Aircraft-grade aluminum construction keeps the stands light enough to transport while remaining rigid under load.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The variable-tension column locks let you raise or lower each section incrementally, preventing sudden drops that can damage expensive fixtures during long sessions. Large, finger-friendly knobs maintain a secure grip even after repeated adjustments, and the wide leg footprint preserves stability when the stand is fully extended to its maximum height. The air-cushioning mechanism protects both the stand columns and mounted equipment from shock when lowering sections under a full 17 lb load.

17 lb Load Limit

The single specification that decides suitability is the 16.1 to 17 lb maximum load capacity. If your lighting kit — including strobe, modifier and any bracket — stays within this range, the stand will hold it securely at any height up to 13 feet. Heavier setups require a different support solution.

Questions about this item

Does the stand generate any noise, heat or draw power when it stays extended all day?

No, the Flashpoint Pro Air-Cushioned stand is a passive aluminium support with no motor, fan or electronics, so it runs silently, produces no heat and consumes no power.

What mounting hardware must I already own to attach a light to the 5/8" stud with its reversible 1/4" and 3/8" screw?

The stand includes the 5/8" stud with a reversible 1/4" and 3/8" thread, so any light, speedlight or bracket that accepts either of those standard threads will mount directly without extra adapters.

Will the 13 ft height and 16.1–17 lb load rating work safely with my older strobes and modifiers?

Yes, the stand extends to 13 ft and is rated for 16.1 to 17 lbs, so legacy strobes and modifiers that fall within that weight range are fully supported at any height setting.
