Extracts HDMI audio to SPDIF and 3.5 mm analogue outputs while passing 4K 60 Hz video with HDR10 and 1080p at 120 Hz or 144 Hz
The FLEANE A2843 extracts audio from an HDMI source and provides both a 3.5 mm stereo analogue output and a multi-channel SPDIF digital output. It supports video pass-through up to 4K at 60 Hz with HDR10 and HDCP 2.2 compliance. The unit is intended for users who need to separate sound from a video signal for external speakers or an audio system. It does not suit buyers who require on-board Dolby or DTS decoding for the analogue port.
Connect the HDMI source to the input and the display to the HDMI output, then route audio via the 3.5 mm jack or SPDIF connector. The extractor is powered externally and requires no driver installation. A frequent issue is silence on the analogue output when the source sends Dolby Digital or DTS bitstreams; the source must be set to PCM stereo. Compatibility problems have been reported with some third-generation TV models and certain Comcast Xfinity boxes.
The adapter handles HDMI 2.0 signals at 18 Gbps, allowing 4K 60 Hz 4:4:4 and 1080p at 120 Hz or 144 Hz. It is not compatible with HDMI 1.2 sources or displays manufactured before 2005. Dolby Digital and DTS formats are passed through only on the SPDIF output; they are not decoded to analogue. CEC pass-through is supported, but the unit cannot overcome HDCP handshake failures on non-compliant sinks.

Play content on your HDMI source and verify sound from the 3.5 mm jack or SPDIF output; ensure the source is set to PCM for analog and check that video passes at up to 4K 60 Hz or 1080P 144 Hz with HDR10.
The extractor itself is included; you must provide an HDMI 2.0 certified cable for the input, a second HDMI cable for the display, and either a 3.5 mm stereo cable or an optical SPDIF cable for your audio system.
Choose 4K at 50 or 60 Hz for maximum resolution, or 1080P at 120 Hz or 144 Hz for high refresh rate gaming; all modes support HDCP 2.2 and HDR10 when using an HDMI 2.0 certified cable.
