DisplayPort 1.4 to HDMI 2.0b Adapter

This active adapter connects a DisplayPort 1.4 source to an HDMI 2.0b display. It supports UHD resolutions up to 4K at 60Hz for gaming, video playback and general desktop use. The male-to-female design plugs directly into the source port without an extra cable.

Sustained signal conversion

The active circuitry maintains a stable 600MHz TMDS character clock during extended sessions. HDR10 and HDR10+ pass-through preserves high dynamic range content without dropouts. HDCP and CEC tunnelling remain active for protected media and device control throughout long viewing periods.

Check your source port

Verify the DisplayPort output supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode and version 1.4 signalling. The host system must run Windows 8.1, Windows 10, macOS or Chrome OS for guaranteed compatibility. Ensure the target display accepts HDMI 2.0b input with HDCP support for protected content.

Questions about this item

Does the active adapter draw noticeable power or generate heat when running a 4K 60Hz HDR signal all day?

The adapter is bus-powered from the DisplayPort 1.4 source and has no fan; it runs cool during continuous 4K 60Hz HDR use.

What must my source device provide for this adapter to function — specifically which port standard and mode?

You need a DisplayPort 1.4 output that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode; the adapter handles the conversion to HDMI 2.0b.

Will this adapter work with an older 1080p HDMI display that only accepts 600MHz TMDS clock?

Yes — it is compliant with HDMI 2.0b and supports the 600MHz max TMDS character clock, so a 1080p display works fine.
