Clear Polycarbonate Chair Mat

The Floortex 118923ER is a clear polycarbonate chair mat designed for carpeted floors up to one-half inch thick. It provides a rigid, flat surface that allows office chairs to roll smoothly without sinking into the pile. The material offers twice the impact strength of standard vinyl mats. It lies flat immediately upon unboxing with no settling time required.

35 by 47 Inch Coverage

The rectangular mat measures 35 inches by 47 inches with a thickness of 0.085 inches, covering a standard desk footprint. Friendly grippers on the underside keep the mat securely anchored on carpet without damaging fibres. It handles daily rolling traffic in home offices or reception areas. On carpets thicker than one-half inch, the grippers may not hold effectively and the mat can flex.

Eco-Conscious Construction

The polycarbonate is manufactured using 50 percent renewable energy at the production site and is fully recyclable. It contains no phthalates, tin, lead or cadmium, making it safe for children and pets. The material resists curling, cracking, dimpling, discoloration and odour under normal use. It is also compatible with underfloor heating systems.

Questions about this item

Will the 35" x 47" mat sit flat on my existing low-pile carpet right away?

Yes, the 0.09" thick polycarbonate lies instantly flat from delivery with no waiting period required for it to settle.

How can I confirm the lightly textured surface is giving the easy-glide roll the description promises?

Roll your office chair across the mat; the clear polycarbonate top should let casters move smoothly without sinking, cracking or curling under normal use.

Does the 118923ER come with any fixings or do I need separate grippers for carpet?

The mat includes friendly grippers on the underside for maximum hold on carpets up to 1/2" thick; no extra fixings are required.
