Fluance Elite 5.1 Home Theater System

The Fluance Elite SX51BR is a complete 5.1 surround sound system designed for listeners who want a matched speaker package for movies and music. It includes two 3-way floorstanding towers, a center channel, two rear surrounds and a powered 10-inch subwoofer in a black ash finish. The system is built for living rooms or dedicated media rooms where a full surround layout is practical.

Sustained output with matched drivers

The three-way tower design separates high, mid and low frequencies across dedicated drivers to keep distortion low during extended playback. The center and surround speakers are timbre matched so that panning effects and dialogue remain consistent at reference and lower volumes. The powered subwoofer handles deep bass independently, preventing the main speakers from compressing during long action scenes or full-range music sessions.

Passive speakers with integrated subwoofer

The five satellite speakers are passive and require an external AV receiver or amplifier to drive them. The subwoofer contains its own built-in amplifier, so only a line-level connection and mains power are needed for low-frequency effects. Engineered MDF cabinets with a woodgrain veneer reduce cabinet resonance, contributing to a cleaner acoustic signature in typical room environments.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 10-inch powered subwoofer generate during extended movie sessions?

The subwoofer includes a built-in amplifier that warms with use; ensure the rear panel has open airflow and do not block the ventilation slots.

Which amplifier connections are required to drive the five passive speakers and the powered subwoofer?

You need a home-theater receiver with five speaker-level outputs for the towers, center, and surrounds plus a line-level subwoofer output for the DB10.

Will the Elite towers and surrounds timbre-match an older center channel I already own?

The system is timbre-matched across all five Elite speakers; mixing a different center may cause tonal mismatch in dialogue and panning effects.
