Cable identifier accessory for verifying wiremaps and tracing unlabelled runs with compatible NETSCOUT testers
The Fluke Networks WireView 1 is a cable testing accessory designed for network technicians and installers who need to trace and verify installed cable links. It works with the NETSCOUT OneTouch AT Network Assistant or LinkRunner AT Network Auto-Tester to identify wiremap results and map wall jacks to switch ports.
This adapter removes the need for time-consuming tone tracing or visual inspection when outlet labels are missing or incorrect. The upgrade is worth it whenever a technician faces unlabelled or mislabelled work-area outlets and must quickly confirm the exact cable path to the patch panel or switch.
Each WireView 1 unit provides one numbered far-end identifier, so a single cable run is mapped per insertion. It does not support simultaneous multi-cable scanning, and it requires a compatible NETSCOUT tester to operate; standalone use is not possible.

The WireView 1 is a far-end adapter that connects to the installed cable link so the tester can read its ID and report wiremap results.
Plug the adapter into the far end of the cable run; the tester reads the adapter ID and displays the wiremap on the Cable Verification screen.
The adapter is a passive numbered plug with no batteries or firmware; it does not require calibration and only needs replacement if the housing or contacts are physically damaged.
