A USB 2.0 switch shares four peripherals between two computers with one-button switching and an optional micro USB power port for stable connections
This USB 2.0 KVM switch lets two computers share four peripheral devices with a single button press. It suits home offices or small workspaces where a keyboard, mouse, printer and scanner must move between a desktop and a laptop without cable swapping. Driver-free operation works across Windows, macOS, Linux and Chrome OS. No software setup is required.
The enclosure provides four downstream USB 2.0 Type-A ports and two upstream ports for the host computers. A micro-USB port accepts an external 5 V adapter to stabilise power-hungry peripherals such as portable hard drives or SSDs. LED indicators show which computer is active. The switch is bus-powered by default but the extra port prevents drop-outs with demanding devices.
With no active cooling the unit runs silently and draws negligible power in normal use. The optional 5 V supply only feeds downstream devices when connected. Heat output is minimal and does not affect desk placement. Buyers needing USB 3.0 speeds or video switching should consider a different product class.
