Enterprise Wi-Fi 6 tri-radio access point with dual 1 Gbps Ethernet ports, internal directional antennas and an included PoE injector for indoor or outdoor mounting
Model FAP234FA
The Fortinet FortiAP 234F is an enterprise-grade wireless access point built for indoor and outdoor deployment. It operates three radios simultaneously, with two serving client traffic on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands and a third dedicated to background scanning. The unit includes a wall and pole mounting kit plus an 802.3at PoE injector with reset functionality.
Under continuous load the two client radios deliver up to 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and up to 1200 Mbps on the 5 GHz band using 2x2 MU-MIMO. The third radio performs 24/7 spectrum scanning across both frequency ranges without interrupting client connections. Maximum power draw is 15.5 W, and the operating temperature spans -40 °C to 60 °C for harsh environments.
Installation uses the supplied mounting kit for pole or wall attachment and a single Ethernet cable for both data and power via the included injector. Two gigabit RJ45 ports allow wired uplinks or daisy-chaining, while a serial console port and USB Type-A interface support local management. The directional patch antennas are fixed, so orientation must be planned during mounting.
